This is a bit late but better late than never.
This past November I spent some time in the promised land and had a great time.
First stop was Subic. I stayed at the Arizona Hotel, had a great room, good food and thoroughly enjoyed the female company. The floating bar was "floating" and it was nice to have somewhere to "explore" during the day while waiting for the local bars to open. There was also a Pool Party at the Wild Orchid where one could roam around and meet nearly all the working girls in town, all in bikinis and all very friendly.
After a few days I booked a ride to Angeles city and stayed at the Wild Orchid. This is a great hotel for several reasons:
1. Swim up bar.
2. Nice Rooms
3. Good Food
4. Outdoor WiFi.
5. Across the street from blow row (Open 24/7).
Since I am not a romantic, I was very happy to assist the blow-row economy and run "Short Time" visits to my room when needed. Otherwise I was at the pool or swim up bar.
My other favorite area was down the road a mile or so near "Garfields". Those bars remind me of my old Navy days when I would go to AC for an alternative to Olongapo.
I decided to end the trip with a couple of nights in Manila. I regret that decision as it is way to expensive. Also, I just never cared for Manila as a city. Next time I'll just stay there one night before departing so I can make my flight.
