Angeles City Trip March 2014 - Our First Time!

I used this site about a month up to our first journey to PI, and it was extremely helpful. So I thought I'd give back and post my experiences and Angeles City

We are: 3 late 20s Americans - 1 white & 2 philams

We stayed: at the Best Western - The Mint Hotel. It was about $60 a night and I would definitely stay there again. The staff was top notch, anything we needed we received. They are overnight guest friendly, and I liked how they would call my room to let me know when my guest was leaving. "Sir, CJ is leaving." The rooms were a decent size. They had a/c, flat screen, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, and stocked mini fridge. Some rooms had good views of the city also. Like i said, staff was very nice...front desk, housekeeping, driver, and security. All professional and friendly.

We went: on walking street everynight!

-Our favorite bar was Qbar.

-Our least favorite was the one with the spiral stairs (i forget the name)

-We also tried Club Asia and Lollipop and 7

Club Asia - was cool, a good show, but a little big for our taste. Some sexy girls but the      most expensive we experienced.

Lollipop - was dead when we went in there. We also happened to be with a few girls            when we went in so we didn't experience the best service.

7 - was weak. not directly on Fields and the selection was limited.

-Cheapest Barfine was 2100. Most expensive was 3000.

-Drink prices I believe were 150 for ours and 250? for a ladys drink. I didn't experience and double lady drink bullshit like I've read on here.

I'm sure this is debatable, but cherry girls are not worth it. Maybe we didn't charm them enough to give it up, but all they did was accompany us for the night. Never fucked. Each of us had one at one time or another on the trip and no one got lucky. Cool, she's a virgin. Wack, they aren't down to get frisky.

The bars are cool, but honestly we had more fun at High Society, the nightclub on Fields Ave. The girls were easy to pick up (and free) and we weren't glued to a seat with a mamason pressuring us to make a choice. We were regulars at Hi-So by the time we had to leave. Security and Bartenders offered great service and the DJ was on point.

The biggest threat to our safety: were those groups of 8-year old pickpockets. I should have bought a tazer for those lil fuckers. They ALMOST got us while we were searching for a massage parlor off Fields Ave. So we just stayed on Fields after that. They also ALMOST got us by our hotel outside the Mini Mart. I had a money belt and my pockets had zippers, so they couldn't get me. But trust me, they are slick.

Last words of advice: Stay aware of your surroundings. Don't entertain anyone selling anything - just ignore or say no (unless you want something). And the most important - Wear a rubber!

Hope this helps someone that was in my position a couple months back. Do your research on this site, this site is a great resource. We loved AC and are already planning our next trip. We wish we would have never left!!!!
