Be careful in High Society when it is balls to cheek crowded.
When I was moving up to the bar to order a drink, while in line I noticed a lady behind me carrying some sort of animal purse in her front over her stomach. All of us were pretty crowded up against each other jostling to get to the counter. While waiting, I felt something, and noticed one of the front pockets on my cargo pants was now unbuttoned. Contained my wallet and a cellphone. I always carry valuables in my front pockets. I looked down at my pocket, then at the girl. Gave her a look, and she moved away. Before I could alert the High Society security, she disappeared in the crowd.
What saved me was keeping my items in my front pockets that had button down flaps. I was also aware the situation was perfect for pickpockets. I was also aware that many pickpockets put items in front of them to shield their hands from view of what they are up to.
Certainly not much the High Society folks can do. They certainly had lots of security on the floor.
Too bad she didn't work the zipper with as much vigor as the pocket!
