Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is an open-air museum and heritage park in Bagac, Bataan, Philippines. The resort's theme is "Pride in the past, hope for the future"
Spent a half day at this place back in Nov last year, was around 45-1hr trip from Balanga. Could get there 1-2hours from Subic traveling south. Sorry no transport info as I was in a private car. Entry was around P600ea but I was lucky enough to enter as a guest free of charge..
What they've done is dismantled and moved many historic Spanish inspired houses from around mainly Luzon and rebuilt them in Acuzar. It's a pretty unreal place they've constructed here and everyone is dressed up to suit the era. Some of the buildings contain many original materials and others are just reconstructions but all have their own unique story.
The guided tour is a necessity to understand and appreciate what's going on here with the (often scandalous) stories/gossip that accompanies (Pinays love this) and it really brings the place alive.
If you are with a girl I'd say staying the night would be "somewhat romantic" (a rest from traveling at the very least). There are restaurants, a bar and swimming pools along with being on the beach which i went and took a dip in (far from the white sands of Boracay but hardly Manila bay)
For a large price you can stay in this reconstructed place with your group (has many rooms and you are waited on, have a butler etc..)
You can also see our great story teller and tour guide "Kuya Dexter" in the pics
This is their hotel (rates start around P4000/night)
Some of the reconstructed houses and scenery
Man made canal and "lake" you can see some construction in the background which is a church if i recall correctly.
There is a long row of buildings along the beach that are under construction once you cross the bridge which I didn't take any pictures of, I think they are mostly to be accommodation.
