After review of numerous topic comments referencing DIA I decided to run an experiment. Below is a little background, followed by some statistics and finally some comments.
Background: Widower with previous PI experience - USN stationed at USNAVSHIPREPFAC Subic '72 - '74; USNAVRADFAC Capas Tarlac '76; and MSCPAC Office Subic '79 - '80. Several visits with spouse and in-laws over the years. Spouse was Filipina born and raised in the San Diego area. Recently retired and planning a solo trip to PI for family/friend visits and a bit of recreation. Not into the bar scene so thinking of lining up some tour guides via DIA. Set up gmail, FB and DIA accounts just for this experiment to get started. Object was to chat up girls to see if I could fix a date and get additional photos (did not request porn) or access to FB. Portrayed that I was already in the PI or was within days of arrival. Worked this for 30 days, typically checking in twice per day.
Statistics:
Total messages received - 703
Total Contacts - 218 (even split on contact initiated by me & those initiated by them)
Contact Break Down:
Ladyboys - 38% (some were obvious but some took me a few exchanges to figure out).
Lonely Hearts Club - 46% (Girls who have no real interest in dating, just bored people with time on their hands).
Pro Hooker/Freelancers - 12% (Obvious from profile they were all business).
Money Hustlers - 4% (Steer you toward pay sites or have the sad story).
Nice Women - Only 4 (Someone you might want to take home to meet family and friends).
Proficiency in English - 22% (Typically big city girls with college degrees).
Agreement to meet - 8% (Not including Ladyboys).
Comments/Observations:
- Professionals/Experienced Freelancers won't waste time chatting, they provide phone number and prefer to work details through that media.
- DIA is used by a lot of bored people in the PI who view it like FB as a method to entertain themselves. Many of them are willing to get into a sexual conversation but avoid detail on the when or where to meet or will not provide a secondary channel of communications to verify who they are. Actually got a few of them to admit this on-line. One admitted they were actually a group of teen age girls who get together during school vacation to get a few laughs getting "some horney old perverts" to say all sorts of things and send them photos.
- Girl photos are mostly fake as they are of someone else or are several years old. Confirmed by getting access to their FB file.
- Many have "suggestive or sexy" photos attached to their profiles, but often times get offended when you reference their huge tits, open mouth & tongue, etc.
- Pay attention to their profiles as it can provide insight on angles to get them chatting - level of education, job or lack of one, etc.
- Single with children. Surprised to see that most of the women with kids actually list them on their profiles. These I believe are those most interested in finding a husband and a stepfather for their kid. Many of the longest chat strings were with these women as they were trying to find out more about me as a potential catch and lift out of poverty.
- Member since date. Pay attention to this as those who have been on the site for a long time often times turn out to be on the hustle for $$$
- Wildest chat. Contacted by a woman representing that she had a bisexual husband and wanted to meet for a three way. The chat got really kinky/exotic. Turns out that is was just their approach at getting a "client" all worked up to send money over in advance to help them get their home repaired for the visit.
- Nice Women. No comment on these as I am following up with them and expect that I will see one or more of them when I make my trip. I came clean with them about my original purpose on DIA and three of them thought it was rather funny! One was quite pissed, but after a week she followed up to resume conversation. All of these are women in their mid to late 30s, highly educated from premium universities in the PI, have good jobs and have excellent English skills.
All for now.
