Could You Be Arrested For What You Don't Think Is On Your Hard Drive?

Not sure how many BMs are UK based, but I am sure the moral brigade in other Western countries will be jumping over themselves to follow suit:

I have NO issues with the fullest weight of the law coming down on paedophiles and their internet related activities. This is right and proper in any society.

However, note the wording on this measure "Well I can tell you today we are changing that. We are closing the loophole - making it a criminal offence to possess internet pornography that depicts rape." (my bolding). That would mean a photo posted of a simulated rape scene leads to prosecution. Ok, so far. But what about a photo of what some consider rough sex? Also can then be considered to depict rape? Who is the arbiter of this? Presumably, of course, an agendaless, objective government employee.

I don't want to be an alarmist wailer, but these sorts of laws always seem to have a very generous mission creep built in.

PS on a lighter note, pity the poor husband who gets caught by the wife having ticked yes please I would like porn delivered to my household, LOL!
