My 5th trip will be 8 days. Being flexible on dates, I selected end of rai y season. Last week of November.
Next I select several travel dates (start/end) and maximum price for round trip fare. I get flight alerts on Kayak with weekly notifications. My round trip via All Nippon Air, seattle to Manila is $788. ANA has great service and young attendents. There is couple hours layover at Narita. Flight is via Boeing 787. Best ride ever for passenger comfort.
With flight reservation made, I next use Agoda to select and reserve hotel. My favorite is Wild Orchid. Safe, clean, great friendly staff, ATM in lobby, travel agency in lobby. Swimming pool is best in AC. The girls love a swim. Pool open 23/7. Theres also a pool table.
Next I reserve car/driver from Margarita Station via its website. Simple and fast. 2600 pesos from NAIA to hotel.
Packing, I fill bag with chocolates from Costco and perfume samplers. I bring crisp$100 bills printed 2006 or the new $100 bill. Also, $200 worth of new $1bills. Finally, 5000 pesos from previous trip to tide me over until I exchange in AC. Never exchange money at either airport or hotel. My favorite money changer is Norma's on Raymond. Safe 2 block walk. Has armed security guard. Exchange rate a bit higher than on Fields.
I bring a Samsung smart phone I use exclusively for trips. I load 100 pesos at 7-11 or Family Mart on ride to AC. Driver gladly stops.
In addition to a couple of favorites from prior trips, I line up girls using DIA. Have 4 times the numbers I will actually call.
