These are my reflections of the Philippines. Not really a true monger's TR. On P-A, there has been many more sexually interesting and graphic reports. These are just my thoughts and reflections of the Philippines, its people and life in general.

"Not necessarily a new topic but more of a mental note to self when bar hopping in AC for the first time alone. Getting ready for my virgin voyage to AC in Feb. Any and all other notes/comments are of course welcomed by experienced mongers.
1. Never spend more than 2,000 pesos for BF;
2. BF two girls at least one time when I am in AC;
3. Always visit 2 or 3 bars before picking a girl;
4. Never ever order DLD (ringing the bell? no comment);
5. Try to drink and BF where they accept P-A Cards;
6. Be polite but firm with bar girls and mamasans;
7. Make sure girls are not on period or ladyboys;
8. Never take more than 10,000 pesos in cash when going out;
9. Never ever deal with local Filipinos on the streets;
10. Don't be an idiot. Use common sense while having a time of your life;
11. Don't fall in love (although it might be nice to be in love for a few days);
12. And lastly and to me, most importantly, DO NOT GET FUCKING PISSED DRUNK AND BLACKOUT... come back with fond memories and pictures...
Still debating how much cash I should take or use credit card and withdraw. Still debating if I should take and use my new galaxy phone to take pics. Don't feel like taking a camera as well. Will most likely stay at Pacific Breeze. Will most likely be in AC for 4 days and Cebu for 5. Still debating if I should visit AC first or Cebu. Maybe visit AC first then take girl to Cebu, assuming she does not mind bar hopping and meeting other women. To be covered or not during sex? Never liked condoms (in fact, I hate them) but would even hate more to come back with something other than fond memories and pictures."
Before I go any further, for those who care or wonder, not that it really matters but I am a Korean-American, almost 50 years old. I was born in Korea but lived most of my life in the States. If you were not looking at me when I spoke English, you would assume I was white.
I flew out of Inchoen, Korea to Manila. Arrived in Manila on Feb. 22 (Saturday) around 11:30 pm. Had Pacific Breeze pick me up at the airport. The driver was waiting for me when I got out. No hassles with customs. Took less than 10 minutes to clear customs. Very few people in my opinion.
The drive to AC was uneventfully. Since it was late at night, could not really see much. There was some traffic in the city but once we got on the highway, very light traffic. The driver, cannot recall his name, liked to drive fast and use his horn. But I think in the Philippines, most people like to use their horn. Sort of annoying at times.
I got into Pacific Breeze around 1:00 am. Remember that I am writing this from memory so I may be off by a few minutes, hours or days. My 7 days in AC seemed like just one long, long day or night... depending on how you looked at it. I tipped the driver 300 pesos. Not sure if he was happy or not. Someone else on this forum said that he tipped 300, so I did the same. In hindsight, I think it was a little high.
I ended up staying at a Jacuzzi Balcony Suite in the main building at PB. The staff, the pool and the bar were nice but I do not think I will be staying at PB again. There were ants in the bathroom, no hot water and I did not use the Jacuzzi because of the smell of the water. The water also looked yellow. Not sure why. Did not want to get in. But the bar staff were very friendly. I also got the cash discount as well.
After I got washed up, change of clothes, I first headed down to the pool bar in PC. Have my first SM Light in the Philippines. Talk to the servers at the bar. Very nice and sweet. Take couple of pics. Time to hit my first bar in AC. It's about 2 am. I decided to go to Tao. It was close by and they do a nice job of promoting their bar on this site and the website in general. As I was walking to Tao, it was not exactly what I expected. Did not seem that dangerous, not too many people walking on the streets, seemed like any other 'Red Light' district around the world. The walk to Tao is only couple of minutes, if that. No one bothered me, tried to sell me stuff, a few trike drivers asked me if I wanted a ride. I just smiled and said no.
I entered Tao. Maybe my heart skips a beat, not really but maybe just a little anxious. I look around and there are maybe 10 guys or so. Not that busy. Maybe about 30 girls. Rather tame. I sit on a bar stool instead of the couches. I order a SML and the server starts asking the routine questions: "What's your name?" "Where are you from?" "Are you Japanese?" (I guess this question would not apply to the non-Asian guys.) "Where are you staying?" "How old are you?" "Do you want to buy a LD?"
I answer each question truthfully. I tell them that I want to have a drink or two by myself first since this was my first bar in AC. They pretty much leave me alone. A server sits next to me. Does not ask for a drink. Just small talk. I don't know if I should take it as a compliment but sever says that this is not my first time in AC. You look like you have been here before. Maybe she thinks all Asians look alike or maybe it was all the research and the reading that I did on P-A before my trip. Who knows...then again, does not really matter I guess.
Had couple of beers, I think it is time to buy a LD. The servers and the girls at Tao have been nice, non-aggressive. My first single LD is ordered.... where a little afterwards, I break rule No. 1 and No. 3 just few hours into my trip....
